What do we mean by Surge Growth?

Welcome to the Bulletproof Lawn Success Blog!! Today we will visit the topic of surge growth.

What is surge growth? Practically speaking, it is rapid grass growth in the summer. The main reason that most of us (or lawn service) mow once a week or more during the summer.

We will show you side by side examples of surge growth, to illustrate the great potential from Bulletproof Lawn's patent pending process to combat surge growth.

We will look at two sections of St. Augustinegrass during the first week of June 2009, and as luck would have it, turned out to be right after the wettest (or one of the wettest) May's on record for parts of South Florida. For one week, we took daily close-up pictures of two sections of beautiful turf, the first was a typical St. Augustinegrass maintained with weekly mowings, the other was a section of St. Augustinegrass using the patent pending process by the Bulletproof Lawn Company.

Here are the sections of turf at Day 0, the turf on the left is typicsl St. Augustinegrass while the turf on right is the patent pending Bulletproof Lawn turf.

Day 3: Grass blades on the typical St. Augustinegrass beginning to exhibit signs of growth, while the grass blades from the patent pending process by Bulletproof Lawn look similar to day 0.

Day 5: Surge growth from the typical St. Augustinegrass becoming apparent. The patent pending Bulletproof Lawn remains in a slow growth mode.

Day 7: Surge growth from the typical St. Augustinegrass continues, the patent pending Bulletproof Lawn remains in a slow growth mode.
As the pictures show, after one week the typical St. Augustinegrass has almost doubled in length while the patent pending Bulletproof Lawn remained very similar to its original height.
